Temperament:  Cosette is a very cute, very spunky mare who has already made it clear that she has plenty of personality packed into her. She is curious about her new life and we are excited to get to know her as she settles in.
Currently:  Before asking her to start a new career, Cosette is getting a well-deserved vacation. She'll spend some time out in pasture, making friends, decompressing from racing, and getting the chance to simply be a horse for a while. Once she's ready, we'll begin her retraining and see where her talents take her.

Adoption: Cosette is our little French girl with plenty of personality! Bred in France and purchased for over $230,000 as a 2-year-old, she began her racing career overseas, making her first seven starts in France before crossing the Atlantic to continue racing in North America. She made her stateside debut at Woodbine and eventually made her way to California, where she had her final race at Santa Anita in January. Cosette retired sound and uninjured with no limitations to her future, and now she is ready to discover what comes next. With a sound body, a bright personality, and a little French flair, we have a feeling Cosette is going to be a very fun one to watch!
