Temperament:  Treebeard is definitely more go than whoa, and he seems convinced that there are much bigger and more exciting things waiting for him in his future. He loves a challenge, enjoys learning, and genuinely looks forward to going to work every morning.
Currently:  Treebeard is working on his groundwork and learning how to use his big body correctly. We are helping him develop strength, lift through his back, and learn to carry himself in a way that will give him a great foundation for his future career. He is an enthusiastic student who seems happiest when you give him something new to figure out.

Adoption: Treebeard is a big horse with an even bigger personality. Standing 17 hands tall and purchased for $350,000 as a 2-year-old, he certainly looked the part of a racehorse, but after just one start it became pretty clear that racing wasn't where his talents were meant to shine. As much as he enjoys working, what Treebeard really loves is the partnership. He tends to prefer the company of people over other horses and truly enjoys having his own person to interact with. Grooming is also high on his list of favorite activities because, apparently, a handsome 17-hand horse has standards and likes to look his best. And then there is food. He is a certified foodie and takes mealtime very seriously. Treebeard has the size, enthusiasm, and work ethic for an exciting future, and he is looking for a partner who will enjoy the adventure just as much as he will.
