Adoption Process
Step One
Contact us via email or phone to talk about which horse might be the right one for you. We put a high priority on finding the right home for each horse and that starts with making sure you could be a potential match. We will then schedule an appointment for you to come out, meet the horse, work or ride with the horse, and interview with CJ (founder and trainer) and Elisabeth (trainer). We always recommend coming out at least twice to make sure you really get to know the horse, as they can be different from day to day, this is not mandatory.
Step Two
After deciding that you have found the right horse, the adoption application will need to be filled out. The application will be reviewed by our Board of Directors. The process takes between 3-5 days with potential follow-up questions and photo requests.
Step Three
If your application is accepted, the adoption agreement is filled out and signed between both the adopter and a Win Place Home representative. After the agreement and adoption fee are received you can then make arrangements to either transport your new horse to their new home or to stay a while in our adopted program!
